Spirit of '76, Robosaurus, Jet Cars, and Fireworks
Fourth of July weekend is quickly approaching and many of you have decided to stay in Las Vegas instead of travel. I have been one of the many that chooses to stay home and enjoy the events available around my community. One of the biggest events is the Independence Day Jubilee at Seastrand Park in North Las Vegas. Every year the City of North Las Vegas holds an big event that includes food, music, a firework show and this year isn't any different.
However, I have recently come across an event worth sharing and hopefully you too will be out there to celebrate the Fourth of July. The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host its annual Night of Fire event. The event will be held Sunday, July 3rd and will feature some of the most exciting west coast racing in the circuit. During my internship I've had to create Facebook events and written up scripts for This Week at LVMS, our small broadcast. I didn't realize how big this event was until I recently found out that there would be a 40-foot, fire-breathing, car-crushing, mechanical dinosaur named Robosaurus. Now if that's not exciting, I don't know what is.
This is just one of the many highlights of the night. A few other events going on that night include a 50/50 raffle to benefit the children of southern Nevada, a 76-lap Super Late Model feature, Jet Car burn, and one of the biggest firework displays ever. Come out for a night of fun at The Bullring
I've had the opportunity to go to a few events at The Bullring and even if you don't like NASCAR there is so much more going on and it's just a great way to have good time in your own community. Many locals don't take advantage of these events that go on in the comfort of their own homes. This is one event that you wont want to miss. Join me this Sunday, July 3rd at The Bullring to celebrate Independence Day and while you're out there enjoy a dollar hot dog and a dollar beer.
