Life is Beautiful recently had their lineup release party at Brooklyn Bowl. Ecko, a Las Vegas Hip-hop artist, performed before the line up release video, shot by Shoot to Kill productions, and the surprise guest. Everyone was told that one of the headliners of Life is Beautiful would be performing later that night. Girl Talk was that performer. Girl Talk, 32, is a American DJ out of Pennsylvania who focuses on rock/indie/hip-hop mash-ups.
This years lineup includes: Outkast, The Foo Fighters, Artic Monkeys, The Flaming Lips, TV on the Radio, Lionel Richie and the controversial Kanye West. This year is the second year of the festival. According to the website, ” Life is Beautiful is an inspirational social platform dedicated to helping people conquer their fears and chase their dreams.”
Last year 60,000 people attended the festival. The the crowd was older than the typical music festival scene according to a News 8 article. Local bushiness in the Downtown area received a huge boom during the festival. The same is expected to happen this year.
The festival will also have art exhibits, food vendors and public speakers with an emphasis on music. Some of the celebrity chefs this year include Giada De Laurentiss,who just opened her new restaurant in the Cromwell, Scott Conant, Bruce Bomberg and Cat Cora.

The festival will take place over three days, October 24-26m Downtown on East Fremont Street. Tickets are $250.
