Ah, the great Pacific Northwest.
For those that haven’t had the chance to travel to Oregon and Washington, you’re missing out on some of the best destination in the US. The PNW is home to arguably the most beautiful scenery on Earth with towering mountain ranges to rocky, dark shores and some of the coolest cities, where you’ll find collections of amazing art, scenery, brews and more.
While my photo album from previous trips doesn’t showcase the plethora of beauty that you’ll find in Oregon and Washington, I was constantly in awe of the greenery that was surrounding me everywhere I went, and if it wasn’t greens, there was still scenic views of the rugged coast or downtown skylines.
One of the favorite places to visit was — ding ding, Seattle of course. There are so many reasons to visit the largest city in the region, one being the natural beauty surrounding you. The famed Pike Place Market sits in the heart of downtown Seattle and showcases it’s quirky characters, and, of course, you can’t forget the fish farmers. Their daily catches not only looked delicious but you were able to see the harbor where they port from too.
Portland is absolutely my favorite city in the country, and I’ve had the opportunity to travel to a lot of cities around the US. The whole city of Portland has so much to offer and is so quirky and fun when you get the chance to drive around the explore it for yourself. Endless funky neighborhoods, yummy breweries and beautiful forest hikes. The list really goes on. My favorite place in Portland has to be the International Rose Test Garden. It’s free to the public and there’s over 7,000 scented beauties to look at.
